Mark Felt-Tipped

On Saturday, the House Intelligence Committee released the Democratic (PDF) rebuttal to the Nunes Memo. While the full release of Nune’s memo was was approved by President Trump, the White House denied a similar request to publish the minority party’s response, citing concerns about the release of classified information. The version of the new memo released to the public was therefore heavily redacted. While the document still lays out the pieces of evidence used in FISA applications for the surveillance of Trump campaign advisor Carter Page, the individual claims’ details have been omitted.

Add iterm2 marks to long-running outputs

iTerm2 has these very convenient markers that let you jump back/forward to “significant moments” in shell output. You can add custom marks to long-running output, such as log files. The shell function iterm2_prompt_mark will print the right escape sequence. Redirect it to a file to make it somewhat readable and it’ll be “\033]133;A\007”. Simply puts/print/echo that in any script to make your own mark in the world.

osacompile: no such component "JavaScript"

This happens when the system’s installation of osascripts is broken, which happen when, for example, some idiot just deletes something he shouldn’t. osacompile converts different languages to AppleScript. In this case, brunch was using it to compile js that would show a native notification. Run osalang -l in a terminal. If it does not give you a list of languages, you’ve found your problem. You can probably fix it by (re-)installing the XCode Command Line Tools, or XCode itself.

"ERROR:glx_surface_glx.cc glxQueryVersion failed" with a headless chrome on alpine

The fix I found to work is to add what I presume is a hardware-specific driver for mesa, namely: # apk add mesa-dri-swrast The driver you need may depent on the hardware – this was in a docker image on a Mac. Try the following to get a sense of what’s available: / # apk -U search mesa [...] mesa-gl-12.0.6-r0 mesa-dri-swrast-12.0.6-r0 mesa-gles-12.0.6-r0 mesa-dri-ati-12.0.6-r0 mesa-demos-8.3.0-r0 mesa-dev-12.0.6-r0 mesa-dri-intel-12.0.6-r0 mesa-osmesa-12.0.6-r0 mesa-gbm-12.0.6-r0 mesa-egl-12.0.6-r0 mesa-dricore-12.

lighthouse/chromium/alpine/docker image

Run Google’s Lighthouse headless in the background This image allows you to quickly run lighthouse in a headless container. That’s useful if you want to run it from a CI server, or in the background of your workstation. Installation From Github Github URL: https://github.com/MatthiasWinkelmann/lighthouse-chromium-alpine-docker git clone git@github.com:MatthiasWinkelmann/lighthouse-chromium-alpine-docker.git docker build -t lighthouse lighthouse-chromium-alpine-docker From Docker Hub Docker Hub URL: https://hub.docker.com/r/matthiaswinkelmann/lighthouse-chromium-alpine/ docker pull matthiaswinkelmann/lighthouse-chromium-alpine Usage Processes within the container cannot easily access the host’s file system.

Don't know how to build task '#<Proc:>

Getting this? Don't know how to build task '#<Proc:0x007fa30d240c40@/path/projects/project/Rakefile:81 (lambda)>' (see --tasks) The cause: rake tasks, for some reason, do not take Procs or lambdas as requirements. Only rake rules do. This works: rule compress: ->(_f) { Dir.entries('.') } while this does not: task compress: ->(_f) { Dir.entries('.') }
